School and Nursery

The original school building in the village dates from 1844 when it was the National School 'for the education of the children of the parishes of Clifton and Sapey Pritchard'.

Today, some 80 pupils attend Clifton-upon-Teme Primary School, aged from four to eleven years, arranged in four classes. In addition to Debbie Mitchell, head-teacher, there are three other full-time teaching members of staff, Karen Driver, Bridget Johns and Claire Bigwood and a part-time teacher, Sarah Eggleton.
